SYTCO SSB Brakes and SMB Brakes for Indef Hoists, are single disc fail safe brakes, particularly used in application where emergency stop is required. These brakes are connected directly to three phase AC supply. These brakes are ideal for application where brake remains engaged for longer period or when power fails suddenly.

When three phase supply is given to electromagnetic SSB Brakes and SMB Brakes, the armature plate is attracted to the electromagnet against the spring force, thus releasing the rotor to move freely. If AC current is cut off or fails, strong compression spring force push the Armature plate back to its original position, which in turn clamps the rotor providing much needed braking torque. Indef Hoist SYTCO SMB fail safe AC brake is provided with manual release provision.

Brake is supplied with Mounting Plate, Manual Release, and Friction Plate as per customer's requirement.
