INTORQ BFK458 spring-applied brake

Torque range: 1.5 – 600 Nm

Electromagnetically released spring-applied brakes are used wherever masses in motion have to be decelerated as quickly as possible or where masses must be held in a defined position. The braking force is applied by tappet springs. Thus the braking torque generated by friction locking remains available in the deenergised status – even in the event of mains failure. The brake is released electromagnetically.

▪ Armature plate with low backlash and reinforced torque support

▪ Tappet springs with guide pins for protection against shearing forces

▪ Aluminium rotor with toothed intermediate ring: friction lining and tooth system with low rates of wear.

 

CCV (Cold Climate Version), temperature resistant up to -40˚C

 

▪ CCV design configurable for all sizes in the modular system

- Use of chrome-plated friction surfaces (armature plate and flange)

- Use of temperature-resistant fixing screws is essential

    POWERMECH offers TEMPORITI DC operated electromagnetic spring applied fail-safe brakes Type K.

    These are made with Italian collaboration and design of Temporiti srl. Temporiti DC operated electromagnetic spring applied fail-safe Type K brakes are normally “ON” type, which means the brake is always on and applied. When a DC voltage is applied to it, the brake releases, thus allowing the shaft on which it is mounted to rotate. In case of no voltage, the brake is applied immediately and the rotating shaft on which the brake is mounted is held immediately. This also forms a safety mechanism in which the load is stopped from being moved in case of no power.

     

    This brake can be mounted either on the backside of an electric motor or on any other driven shaft which is to be braked. These can be supplied with four different optional attachments and in various sizes and capacities.

     

    The general applications are in brake motors, crane hoists, material-handling equipments, CNS machines, packaging, textile and other machines and other varied applications.

    DC Electro-magnetic shoe brakes are actuated by an energy stored in the compression spring and is released by a DC electromagnet. This brake is Fail-Safe and is Normally ON (applied). The DC magnet Coil, when energized releases the brake.
